An herbal consult will include a comprehensive health history to understand what makes the patient and their condition unique. It can also include physical examination such as pulse, tongue and palpation based diagnosis which will offer extra information to understand the patient's situation from a Traditional Chinese Medical Perspective. I have also been mentored in and have studied other forms of herbalism such as western herbalism and using nutriceuticals and well studied bioconstituents (which are the compounds extracted from herbs such as curcumin from turmeric) to treat patients. I apprecenticed under a brilliant herbalist who taught me how to build protocols for patients to treat even the most complicated of conditions. That mentor had a lot of experience supporting patients with chronic infections, autoimmune conditions, endocrine disorders and cancer.
